English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Gallman Elementary School is very fortunate to have a full-time teacher for our ESOL students.  Mrs. Sue Moesley, a fluent speaker of Spanish, serves approximately 50 students whose home language is not English.

She has pull-out classes and works with students in their mainstream classroom to learn to read, write, and speak English fluently.

She also serves as the school's translator and liaison between school and Spanish-speaking families.

Before letters and forms are sent home from school, teachers and administrators ask Mrs. Moesley to translate the information into Spanish.  By doing this, we ensure that all families in our school receive the same information!
