Dual Enrollment Classes (PTC)
                 

These courses are being offered on the recommendation of local high schools to provide seniors with greater flexibility in obtaining college credit while still in high school.   

It is recommended that students enroll in 2 courses (6 credits) per semester, to insure eligibility for state Lottery Tuition Assistance.  Two courses can be taken in one time block, earning 6 credits in one semester. 

Listed below are the dual enrollment courses offered on the Piedmont Technical College Newberry campus for high school seniors.  All courses will meet alternatively on the A B schedule.

• State Law requires a student to be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester

  to be eligible for Lottery Tuition Assistance (LTA). 

• Costs of textbooks are extra, and may be charged to the student. 
• In ALL cases, it costs less for a student to enroll in 2 courses, than in 1 course, due to LTA.
