Eugene Adams  teaches army JROTC 1 & 2.  He has a B.S. from Coker College and an associate of science from El Paso Community College. He sponsors the JROTC color guard and drill team.  Sergeant Major Adams served 26 years of active duty in the US Army serving in places such as, Germany, Hawaii and a combat tour in Vietnam.

Louie Alexander  teaches weight lifting and is the Athletic Director and Varsity Football coach. He is beginning his 5th year at MC. He is a graduate of Newberry College and holds an MS degree from USSA.

Brea Amick teaches US Government, Global Studies and Psychology and is beginning her 4th year at MC.  She holds BA and MAT degrees from the University of South Carolina. She sponsors student Council and SADD club.  Website

Sara Biltz teaches Honors English 3 and 4, AP English, dual credit Speech and Creative writing. She is beginning her 22nd year at MC and her 41st year overall in education. She holds a BA degree from Purdue and an MS from Indiana University.  A National Board Certified teacher, she sponsors the Beta Club and is a PH.D candidate in Language and Literacy at the University of South Carolina. 

Lindsay Boozer teaches algebra and is in her 2nd year at MCHS.  She holds degrees in mathematical sciences and secondary education.  She sponsors the Junior Beta Club. Website

Lorraine Boyd teaches math and is in her 25th year at MCHS.   She holds a BA and a Masters from Lander University with a Masters plus 30 from other institutions.  She is 1976 graduate of MCHS.

Kyle Branham teaches Math and is beginning his 2nd year at MCHS. He has his BS in Mathematics with a minor in Education. He is the head coach for the Boy's JV Basketball team and Assistant to the JV and Varsity Football teams.

Lt.Col.John Brooks (US.Army) commands the JROTC and is beginning his 6th year at MC.  He teaches Financial Management, Freshmen Skills, US History, World History and US Government.  He holds Ed.S and M.Ed. degrees from Lincoln Memorial University and an MA from the Naval Post Graduate School.

Brantley Buzhardt  is beginning her 4th year at MC.  She teaches health and weight lifting.  She has a B.S. in physical education from Newberry College and a masters from Grand Canyon University. She coaches Volleyball and softball. 

Kyle Cannon is beginning his 3rd year at MCHS where he teaches Global Studies I, Global Studies II, and Freshman Skills. He has a B.S. from Newberry College. He is currently working towards a degree in Educational Administration. Mr. Cannon notes that "I'm a HUGE South Carolina Gamecocks fan!" Assistant football coach, Head Wrestling Coach, and sponsors the Beta Club.

Lynn Cary is the MCHS Principal and is beginning her 9th year with MC. She is in beginning her 7th year as principal having served as assistant principal for 2 years before taking the principalship. Dr. Cary has 14 years of experience in education overall. Dr. Cary is a graduate of Newberry College and earned an M.Ed from Francis Marion University.  She received her Ed.D from Nova Southeastern University.

Tiffany Chaplin is a Special Education teacher and is beginning her 5th year at MCHS.  She has a BA degree in Education with a concentration in LD and is working on two master's degrees--one in Educational Leadership and one in Exceptional Student Education and Reading.

Ray Cooper  teaches history and is beginning his 5th year at MCHS and 6th overall.  He is the chairman of the Social Studies Department and teaches US History. He earned his BA from Newberry College and his MA in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. He coaches varsity football.  

Gwen Cushing is beginning her 1st year at MC. She teaches Tutorial. She has a Masters in Special Education for USC.

Rosa Diaz-Grant teaches Spanish and is beginning her 4rd year at MC.  A native of Ecuador, she holds a B.S. degree from the Universidad  Catolica in Ecuador and a Masters' degree from Ball State University. She sponsors the Spanish Club.

Asia A. Dingle is beginning her 1st year MC. She teaches English and Journalism. She graduated from South Carolina State University with a BA in English Education. She sponsors the Yearbook.

Jeff Eargle teaches US History, AP US History and Holocaust and Intolerance Studies and is beginning his 5th year at MC. He sponsors the Mock Trial organization and Co-Sponsor of Student Council and holds B.A. and M.A.T degrees, both from the University of South Carolina. Website

Rebecca Elswick is the school librarian and is beginning her 26th year in education and 25th year at MC.  She earned her B.A. in Education from the University of Charleston (WV) and M.Ed and M.L.I.S from USC.  She continued post graduate work through Charleston Southern University, Clemson, the Citadel and USC, earning over 30 hours beyond two graduate degrees.  An English teacher for 19 years at MCHS, this is her 6th year as school librarian. 

Anna Estep is  beginning her 2nd year at MC and 4th in education overall.  She teaches chemistry and physics a and earned her BA from Columbia College   Website                                                              

Mildred Lynn Goggans is entering her 38th year in education.  She has been the MC guidance counselor for 24 years and holds a BS degree from Benedict College and an MEd. from South Carolina State University.

Gayle Green is beginning her 1st year at MC and has 8 years in education. She teaches Global Studies 2 and holds a BA degree from USC-Aiken in Secondary Education. Website

Lynn Grimsley teaches chorus and AP Music Theory and is beginning her 29th year of teaching, all of them at MC.  She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Furman University and an MME from the University of South Carolina.  She is also a Nationally Board Certified teacher and sponsors all Chorus activities and is a cosponsor of the FCA.

Allison Hallman is the Service Learning instructor and teaches Language Lab and SAT Verbal. She is beginning her 10th year at MC. A sponsor of the Leo Club and Student Council, she holds B.A. and M.T. degrees from the University of South Carolina.

Valerie Haltiwanger teaches CP and Honors Geometry and Honors Algebra II and is the Math Department Chair. She is beginning her 13th year at MC. She holds a B.S. degree from Clemson University. She is an MC alumnus--class of 1993. Website

Jackie Harris teaches P.E. and weight lifting and is beginning his 26th year at MC. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina and an M.S. degree from the USSA. He is assistant varsity football coach and head girls' and boys' track coach.

Rick Harris teaches physical science and is beginning his 4th year at MC and 31st in education.  He received is B.S. in Health and PE and Masters Administration both at USC-Columbia. He sponsors the cross country and soccer.  Website

Susan Harrison teaches Honors World History and the US Since WWII History. She is beginning her 28th year at MC and 32nd year in education overall. She holds a B.A. and a Masters in history as well as a Masters plus 30 from the University of South Carolina. She has also completed post graduate work in military history from the American Military University in Virginia.     Website

HS's nurse. She is beginning her 2nd year.

Betsy Hentz teaches English III and Teacher Cadets and ELA Department Chair. She is beginning her 21st year at MCHS. She has her Bachelors from Clemson University.

Monica Johnson teaches Special Education and is beginning her 1st year at MC.  She has a B.S. in Exercise Science from Lander University and an M.A.T. in Special Education from the University of South Carolina.

Katie Kidd

Hubert Kinard teaches biology, anatomy and physiology. This is his 18th year at MC and he sponsors the FCA and golf team. He holds a BS degree from Clemson University and a MEd. from The University of S.C. Website

Alexandra (Ali) Koch teaches Economics and Global Studies 1.  This is her 1st year at MC and she holds a B.S. in Finance. Website

Laura LaBarre  teaches computer applications and Desktop Publishing.  She is beginning her 5rd year at MC. A graduate of Winthrop University, she holds a B.S. degree and is working on her Masters in Divergent Learning at Columbia College. She is an MC alumnus--class of 1981. 

Beverly S.Leslie is an MCHS Assistant Principal.  Previously the media specialist and Beta Club sponsor at MCHS from 1988-2001 and at NHS from 2001-2007, Mrs. Leslie is a former member of the SC Beta Club State Council. She earned her BA from Newberry College, her Master of Library Science from the University of South Carolina and her Educational Leadership (Administration and Supervision) from Clemson.

Jason Long teaches Applied Physical Science and Applied Chemistry. He is beginning his 9th year at MC.  He holds B.S. and M.Ag.Ed. degrees from Clemson University.  He sponsors the Science Olympiad and the Outdoor Club.

Johnny Marlowe teaches Spanish. He is beginning his 22nd year at MC and 25th in education. He earned his B.A. from Furman University.

Terrie Mayer teaches English I and is beginning her 8th year at MC. She holds a B.A. degree from Clemson University. She taught at MC from 1982-1985 and returned in 2003.

Cheryl Metts is beginning her 10th year at MC.  She is a teacher's aide

Hu Mills teaches Drivers Education and is beginning his first year at MC and 10th year in education overall.  He obtained his B.A. in Social Studies from Newberry College and a Masters in Sports Science from the United States Sports Academy.  He is the head varsity baseball coach.

Joel Mitchell teaches Biology and Marine Science. He is beginning his 2nd year at MC. He has is B.S. from Clemson University and Teaching Certification from Newberry college. He sponsors the Varsity Football team.

Debbie Murphy teaches Art I, II and III and AP Art.  She is beginning her 4th year at MC. She holds a BA degree from Winthrop and a M.Ed from Converse. She sponsors the Art Club, Beta Club and Homecoming Week.

Eva Nagy is beginning her 4rd year at MC. She teaches Algebra I, II and III. She holds a B.S. in math from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluy-Napoca, Romania. Website

Sheila Pelton is beginning her 2nd year at MC. She has 24 years in education. She teaches math and has her Masters from the Citadel. Website

Rachel Rabon is beginning her 1st year at MC. She has 10 years in education. She teaches English and has her BA degree from Newberry College, and also a MAed degree from the University of Phoenix. She sponsors the Beta Club.

Colette Reamer teaches geometry, Technical Geometry and SAT Prep. She is beginning her 8th year at MC. She holds a BS degree in mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Website

Zeb Reid is beginning his 4th year at MCHS. He teaches PE/Health at MCMS.  He earned his B.S. from Newberry College and is the Head Varsity Boys Basketball coach for MCHS. He is working on a master's degree.

Walt Richardson is starting his 1st year at MC and teaches Environmental Science.  He earned his B.S. from USC.

Ethel Richburg

George Roseborough teaches French and is beginning his 3rd year at MC. He has 20 years in education and holds a BA in French from the University of SC and an M. Ed from Southern Wesleyan University.

Russell Satterfield is starting his 3rd year at Mid Carolina.  This is his 30th year in education. He received his B.A. from Presbyterian College and M.ED. from Clemson University.

Beverly Singleton is beginning her 3rd year at MCHS.   She is the ISS Monitor and has been a Bus Driver for Newberry County for 25 years. She is also a Registered Cosmetologist for 37 years.  She sponsors 50 Friends Cancer Drive for American Cancer Society.
 

Katherine Smith teaches Honors English III, Language Lab and Journalism. She is beginning her 9th year at MC. She holds a BA from Furman University and is working on her Masters in Mass Communications. She also sponsors the Prom Committee.

Susan Smith is a guidance counselor and is beginning her 3rd year with MCHS. She holds a BS from Bowling Green State University and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from the University of Toledo.  Recently relocating from Ohio, she says she likes SC's warmer winters and longer golf seasons.  She is excited about being a part of MCHS.

Margaret Sparrow teaches English as a Second Language. She is in her 2nd year at MC and sponsors the Cultural Diversity Club. She holds a BS degree from Winthrop, an M.Ed from Clemson and ESOL certification from the College of Charleston.

Jed Thomas is the band director. He is beginning his 16 year MC. He holds a bachelor's degree from Newberry College and an MME from the University of South Carolina. He is involved in all aspects of the Rebel Regiment: marching band, concert band, pep band, jazz band and the band booster club.

Jerolyn Wallace is beginning her 2nd year at MC. as a Tutorial and Inclusion Teacher. She earned her B.S. and SPED from James Madison University and an MLIS from University of South Carolina and Masters plus 30 from College of Charleston and is National Board Certified.

Steve Wicker is an MC Assistant Principal. He is in his 6th year with MC and 35th in education.He sponsors the Outdoor Club.  He holds a BA degree from Newberry College and a M.Ed plus 30 from the University of South Carolina.

Marie Wise teaches English, Science and Street Law. She is beginning her 4th year at MC. She holds a B.S. degree from Newberry College.

MC Office and Support Staff 

 Sissy Delesandro is the Principal's Secretary. She is beginning her 3nd year at MC.

Teresa Dominick is the SASI clerk.  She is beginning her 6th year at MC.

Yogi Livingston is MC's maintenance chief and is beginning his 26th year at MC.

Penny Nichols is MC's Bus Coordinator and has worked at MC for 19th year.                   

Gary Wilbanks is an attendance clerk and assistant football coach. A veteran with six years service in the US Air Force, this is his 5th year with MCHS. He is the Girls' Varsity Basketball coach.

Tammy Wilson is MC's financial officer. She is beginning her 9th year at MC and is an MC alumnus: Class of 1987. She was also MC Support Staff of the Year 2008
