About Newberry Middle School:

            Newberry Middle School (NMS) is one of 13 schools located in Newberry, South Carolina. Newberry Middle School serves 612 students in grades six through eight. Newberry Middle School facilities are eleven years old and in excellent condition. There are 49 certified staff members, two guidance counselors, one nurse, three assistant principals, and one principal on staff. Each grade level team offers ELA, math, science, and social studies. Our related arts team offers Physical Education, Health Education, Spanish, Art, Keyboarding, Personal Finance, Gateway Technology, Journalism, Chorus, Band, and the WPAW news. Students visit the library media center regularly for book checkout and research.  There are ESOL classes for students who speak English as a second language.
