Meet the Administrators

Our principal is Ms. Katrina Singletary.  Ms. Singletary has a BA from the College of Charleston and a M. Ed. from Columbia College.  She was an English teacher for five years and an Administrative Assistant for Curriculum and Instruction for two years before becoming our principal here at Newberry Middle.

Mr. Ben Long is an Assistant Principal.  Mr. Long has a BA from Newberry College in History and a M. Ed. from Clemson University in Educational Leadership.  He is married to Wendy Long and has two children.  This is his sixteenth year at Newberry Middle School and his seventh year as an Assistant Principal.

Ms. Kelli Seegars is an Assistant Principal here at NMS.  She served as a Career Development Facilitator, an Administrative Team member, a South Carolina History teacher (8th grade), and a Life/Study Skills teacher (9th grade) in Lancaster County.  She has a BA in Secondary Education/Social Sciences from Clemson University and a M. Ed. in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University.  Ms. Seegars was named the Lancaster County District Teacher of the Year in 2006 and was named the South Carolina State Competitive Cheerleading Coach in 2006.  This is her third year at Newberry Middle.
