Prosperity-Rikard Elementary School held a
can drive for the Manna
House during the month of November. During this time the students
brought in 1,835 items to help families in need during this holiday
season. Mrs. Templin's fourth grade class brought in the most cans
registering at a total of 250 items. A close runner-up was Mrs. Sugg's
third grade class. Mrs. Templin's class also used this community
project as a means of learning. The class created a
cumulative frequency chart to monitor their daily collection.
This is only one of many service projects that students at PRES
participate in to teach the many life skills that we incorporate in our
school day.
