Mrs. Coggins First Grade Class is
happy to welcome Miss Chappella Brown to our classroom as a student
teacher. She will be with us until
December 5, 2008. We are all working on
building community in our classroom. We
all want to be caring and helpful to one another. We have read the book, Have You Filled a Bucket Today?, by
Carol McCloud. The bucket represents
the child’s mental and emotional health.
You can’t see the bucket, but it is there. When you do nice things or say nice things to someone, you fill
their bucket. We are learning that when
we love and care about others, we feel good and that fills our bucket. Parents, please remember to fill your
child’s bucket everyday, and I know this will fill your bucket in return. Let’s encourage positive behavior at home
