Ms. Takeela Caughman

I am Ms. Takeela Caughman. I was born and raised in Newberry County. I ABSOLUTELY adore teaching fourth grade. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Winthrop University in May of 2008, and I am currently working on my Master’s degree at Walden University. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, spoiling my dog DeeDee, shopping, watching football, working in the yard, and enjoying life.

My classroom is centered on hands-on and minds-on activities, cooperative grouping activities, integrated technology with the content areas, and engaging my students. I think that classrooms should be exciting and fun. I believe that every child can be successful when given the necessary “tools” they need to succeed.
