SAFETY COMMITTEE HISTORY AND NOTIFICATION
In the Fall of 2003, the School District of Newberry County in conjunction with our Property Casualty & Worker's Compensation insurance company, came up with an opportunity for its member district's to receive a 5% reduction on their Worker's Compensation Premium. The district developed a Safety Committee to complete specific criteria outlined each year by the insurance company.
Our district was the first to have a web site link to Safety Reporting and now other districts have followed. The Safety Link on our district's home page and also a Safety Hot Line (321-2117) can be used for reporting safety issues or concerns.
Effective July 1, 2014, the School District of Newberry County has changed our Property Casualty & Worker's Compensation insurance company to the South Carolina School Boards Insurance Trust and we are looking forward to working with their representatives for all our district's claims.
