School District of Newberry County Teacher Wins PSTA Classroom Grant

Newberry– School District of Newberry County teacher, Donna Hill has been selected as a recipient of the 2023 Palmetto State Teachers Association Classroom Grant. This is the second year of the PSTA classroom grants created as part of the Reinvesting in Our Members program. The grants are awarded annually to encourage and support PSTA members as they serve students across our state.

Ms. Hill is currently a teacher at the Newberry Adult and Continuing Education. The grant will be used to purchase a color printer & scanner for the Whitmire Site of Adult Education. The use of a printer will allow students to quickly have copies of student learning plans, instructional materials, and other needed forms. Director of Teacher Leadership Craig King, surprised Ms. Hill at her school on August 17th with the exciting news that her grant was chosen as a winner!
