School District of Newberry County

The School District of Newberry County recognized the 2023 Mid-Carolina High School Softball team for their AA Upper State Championship. The team finished 21-9 capturing their first Upper State Championship. Members of the team were Symari Bowers, Mary Grace Bryant, Bristol Perry, Nora Cutler, Raelyn Livingston, Gabi Riddle, Sarah Bryant, Savannah Moore, Ja’ila Gallman, Anna Marie Milstead, Bailey Stewart, Katie Gallman, Kassidy Sanders, Arie Longshore, Shealy Graham, Amber Hughes. The team was coached by Head Coach Joey Long, assisted by Clyde Livingston and Emma Wicker.
