Erin Titus - Prosperity-Rikard Elementary Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Erin Titus - Prosperity-Rikard Teacher of the Year!

"My Kindergarten students gain so much independence during the year. When they begin to realize they are doing something new on their own, their eyes just light up and they get so excited. I love watching their excitement when they are learning to read and they realize they are actually reading the jumble of letters on the page in front of them."

SPECIAL THANKS: I am so incredibly thankful for my Kindergarten Instructional Assistant, Peggy Stockman. She has been a blessing to me and our classroom. She knows what I am thinking by just looking at my expression. She loves the students and is always willing to do whatever needs to be done. I would not be the Kindergarten teacher I am without her.

FAVORITE TEACHER: Ms. Williamson was my first grade teacher. To teach us how to buy and sell items, she opened up a huge store in our classroom. We were able to buy items using the rewards we earned for good behavior. She even had the mayor of our town come to our classroom to do a real "Grand Opening" ceremony.
